Real life Tomahawk (home made)
Spent the last week and a half creating a home made Tomahawk. First time I've done something like this! Aside from some stuff at secondary school, I've honestly never really got into wood working, but thanks to the lockdown I went down this little personal challenge and was pleasantly surprised!!

Fitting the Tomahawk head on, using a more traditional method used for regular axe heads.

Several of my Tomahawk handles after the oiling process. the one I used for this one is the bottom one
I realised the white wood would make the thing look like some sort of IKEA chair leg or something, so I painted it using some ink washes meant for miniatures. Actually worked out pretty well! (Top one os the one I used for this project).
Ordered some leather strips off Etsy, so wrapped them on to see how it would look so far. At a glance it kind of looks like a wonky cigarette haha
Sanding the wood handle down.
Getting rid off all the bumpy eyes and twigs sticking out.
After helping chop down a tree, I felt like all the wood just can't be thrown away and wasted.
